UN environment agency recognises three students for contributions to sustainable innovation
Three young students are being honoured for their contributions to environmental conservation and the promotion of sustainability in their home countries, the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) has announced. At a ceremony in Leverkusen Germany, UNEP declared Adriana Maria Villalobos Delgado of Costa Rica, Mwanyuma Hope Mugambi of Kenya and Dang Huyn Mai Anh of Viet Nam this year’s recipients of the Young Environmental Leader Award for their impactful environmentalist projects.

The concerns over environment, and the priority to be given to its preservation, were reflected in CPC General Secretary Hu Jintao’s opening address to the 18th CPC Congress, where he put as much emphasis on ecological civilization and sustainable development as economic, political, cultural and social civilizations.
